KEG PRESSURE

TurboTap USA believes your beer should be perfect – perfect pouring, perfect tasting, and perfect looking. A key part of this is ensuring the gas pressure to your keg is correct. After temperature, pressure is the next biggest cause of draft beer system trouble. Gas pressure to the keg serves two purposes. First, gas pressure is used to propel the beer from the keg through the beer line to the TurboTap. Second, the correct type of pressure of gas allows beer to maintain its proper level of carbonation when stored for several days or several weeks. The proper gas pressure to apply to the keg varies depending on a host of factors, including type of beer, type of gas, the gas blend, the length of the beer line, the change in elevation between keg and the TurboTap, and the desired flow rate. TurboTap USA takes all of these factors into consideration determining the correct pressure “Set-Point” for each keg.TurboTap USA will document the proper pressure Set-Point inside the cooler near each pressure regulator. NEVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE PRESSURE ADJUSTMENTS YOURSELF. If you are experiencing draft problems and notice a pressure regulator reading that deviates more than a few “psi” from its listed Set-Point, notify your draft system manager or contact TurboTap USA.

About TurboTap USA

In late 2010, California entrepreneurs Michael Manion and Rafael Corrales, who each have a background working in the nightclub, bar, and entertainment industry, came together and secured exclusive rights to the TurboTap draft beer tap for distribution in the United States and Canada. Their company, Mike & Mike International, Inc., chose San Francisco as its corporate headquarters, and they’re now doing business under the name TurboTap USA. Besides having a compelling product, TurboTap USA is proceeding to establish strategic partnerships, identify collaborative relationships with affiliates and distributors, and build a customer service-centric brand within the diverse draft beer industry.> More
